Obituary

Crystal Gayle DayChild (Kind Spirit Woman) passed away august 7th, 2025. A proud matriarch,
devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a vibrant spirit, she leaves behind a legacy
of love, laughter, and warmth.

Crystal had a deep love for her grandbabies—her heart belonged to them entirely. Whether
cheering them on from the sidelines or slipping them candy from her ever-stocked purse, she was
their biggest fan, fiercest protector, and gentlest comfort. She was known for her joyful spirit and
strong cultural pride. She found connection and healing in the sweat lodge, strength and
celebration in powwows, and peace in the art of beading—each stitch a reflection of her love.
She also had a sense of humor by cracking jokes and scaring people.

A true basketball lover, Crystal never missed a game, often wearing her favorite basketball
shorts—comfort always came first. She always had a cold Coca-Cola in hand. She loved flowers,
garage sailing and thrift shopping. Family was everything to her. Her laughter could fill a room
and could be heard by the neighbors. Her hugs held generations together.

Crystal is survived by her Significant other Clinton LaMere,Daughters, Jai-Lynne and Alexia,
her grandchildren, Tre'leigh, Caycen, and Myles. Father Henry James DayChild. Mother and
