Clyde was born on March 9, 1953, in Great Falls to Ned and Theresa (Houle) Sunchild.  He was raised in Great Falls, attending school there.  When he was 18, Clyde returned to Rocky Boy, where he worked with his dad performing concrete finishing work until his dad passed away.  By that time, the rest of his brothers had joined the company, and he continued with his concrete work until just two weeks prior to his death.  Over the past 49 years, Clyde has worked all over Montana.

When he was younger, he had a relationship with Denise Potter, and the couple had a daughter.  In 2008, Clyde married Karin Lamere, and for the next 12 years, he helped her raise her five children.

Clyde enjoyed watching television, especially football.  He adored his family and loved to spend time with them, especially supporting the kids in their sports endeavors.  He also liked going on drives in the mountains.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alfred Gopher.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Karin Sunchild of Rocky Boy; children, Crystal (Eric) Adams of CA, and Rose and Heather Lamere, Michael Bruno, James Parker, Elizabeth Pitzner, and Miley Sunchild, all of Rocky Boy; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Lloyd (Gay), Daryl, Dallas (Pam), and Darin (Marva) Sunchild, and Larry Bernard; sisters, Arlene (Vaughn Bodine) Sunchild, Doreen and Cindy Sunchild, Kim (Victor) Patacsil, Christine Sunchild, Violet Dawn Sunchild, and Margaret and Brenda Bernard; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
