Cindy L. (Friede) Lawrence, 69, passed away due to natural causes on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Northern Montana Hospital.  Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m., and a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023.  All service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder.  Burial will follow in Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Cindy was born on December 18, 1953, in Fort Belknap to Ernest and Marie (Saddler) Friede.  She was raised in Rocky Boy, graduating from Box Elder High School in 1972.  She married Arthur Lawrence and the couple had three children.  Cindy worked as a paraprofessional in the Box Elder schools for most of her life.  She attended Stone Child College, graduating with her Associate's degree in education in the early 2000s, and continued to work until 2015 when her health required her to stop working, and she retired.

Cindy enjoyed cooking, playing the machines, listening to the radio, playing BINGO, reading, and watching mystery movies.  She absolutely adored children, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was a favorite pastime.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lawrence; parents, Ernest and Marie Friede; brother, Daniel Friede; and sister, Peggy Friede.

Cindy is survived by her children, Arthur Lawrence, Jr., Sonya (Lonnie) Horn, and Dallas Lawrence, all of Box Elder; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Ernestine (Charles) Rosette, Harvey Friede, Howard Friede, Alvina (Buzz) Cochran, Tricia Friede, all of Box Elder; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
