Charley Clarence Stimson, 71, died Sunday January 30, 2011 at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. Cremation has taken place and his memorial graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday February 5, 2011 at the Highland Cemetery with Pastor Michael O'Hearn officiating. Burial with military honors will follow. A fellowship will be held at the AmericInn immediately after the service. Memorials in Charley's honor may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Charley was born November 23, 1939 in Valier, Montana to Tom and Lucille (Hoare) Stimson. He attended Havre public schools. He enlisted in the Unites States Army in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1960 after serving one year and nine months in the service. In 1969 he married Judy Pankovich in Missoula. They lived in Missoula for a while and then moved to Havre where they made their home and raised their three children. The couple later divorced in 1976. Charley worked in the construction industry driving truck for Baltrusch Construction and Patrick Construction. He was a member of the truck teamsters and enjoyed building and assembling model railroads and always entertained a political discussion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George Stimson, Pat Stimson, Tom Stimson and his two sisters Phyllis Tarbet and Juanita Christiansen. Charley is survived by his children: Ruby (Scott) Christian of Havre, Montana. Two sons: Travis Stimson of Havre, Montana and Konrad Stimson of Helena, Montana. One sister Virginia Bennet of Oregon and two brothers: Bob Stimson of Klamath Falls, Oregon and John Stimson of Kelso, Washington. Three Grandchildren: Danielle Wallace of Helena, Montana and Abigale and Noah Wentworth of Lewistown, Montana.
