Obituary

Charlene M. Cochran Jackson, 55, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls of natural causes, surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born on August 12, 1959, in Havre, to Thomas and Shirley (Nicholson) Cochran. She was raised in various cities when she was younger, returning to Hays in 1975 at the age of 18. Charlene received her Associate's Degree in Social Services from Fort Belknap College. She married Lloyd Jackson, and the couple raised their 4 children in Fort Belknap Agency. The couple later divorced, and Charlene met Andrew "Andy" Ereaux, and the couple had their daughter Lori. Charlene worked at various jobs throughout the years, including at the BINGO Hall and firefighting, but she really loved working for Fort Belknap Fire Management as a sawyer and then as a stacker. Charlene enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee with family and friends. She was always making jokes and loved to laugh and have a good time, even while fighting breast cancer, which she beat. Charlene is survived by her son Owen Jackson of Harlem; her daughters Leeann (Avery) Boe of Hays, Amber Jackson (Justin Young) and Ashley Jackson (Doug Messerly), all of Fort Belknap, Lori Ereaux (Alvin Doney) of Harlem; her grandchildren, Jennica, Rebecca, and Chameka McConnell, Aleena and Avery Boe, Jr, Robert Jackson, Ryan and Reesa Young, Persais Messerly, and Laila Jackson; her great-granddaughter Jadence Hawley; her mother Shirley (Max Jr.) White of Havre; her sisters Rose Ann Cochran (Clayton Hawley, Sr.) of Hays and Jeannie Timms (Donald Snell, Sr.) of Great Falls; her brothers, Raymond (Claudia) Cochran, Robert "Bobby" (Kristina) Cochran, Michael (Rachael) Cochran, all of Great Falls, and Louis (Gena) and Vernon (Joyce) Cochran, all of Fort Belknap; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jazemine McConnell; her father Thomas Cochran; and her sister Henrietta "Ettsy" Cochran.
