Cecile Evanson, 85, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Heritage Place in Kalispell, of natural causes. Cecile was born April 10, 1930, in Heart Butte south of Browning to Charles and Annie (McGillis) Flamand. Her family soon moved to Babb where she began attending school. They relocated to Rocky Boy in 1937 where Cecile attended the old Sangrey School through 6th grade, and Rocky Boy School through 8th grade. She married Eddie LeDeau in 1945, and the couple later divorced. She married Howard Evanson in 1960, and the couple made their home in Havre. Howard, her true love, passed in November of 2013, but Cecile remained in Havre until September of 2014, when she moved to Kalispell to be near her family. She felt at home there and made many friends. Cecile loved the outdoors. She enjoyed campouts, especially fishing. She and Howard spent much of their life together camping, fishing and hunting. Cecile also enjoyed playing BINGO. She was very lucky and won most of the time. She was a kind, generous person who was thoughtful of others. She also adored animals and would always feed the strays in the neighborhood. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Annie Flamand, her beloved husband Howard, two young sisters, and one young brother. Cecile is survived by her sister Marie Boushie of Kalispell, Montana; her nieces, Mary Komeotis of Rocky Boy, and Rhonda (Shane) Phipps of Whitefish; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends. God has taken her home. She has no more pain and worries. We will all miss her smiling face, her hugs, and her joyful ways.
