Obituary

Catherine A. (Carter) Dielman, 72, passed away due to natural causes on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Northern Montana Care Center. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Big Sandy United Methodist Church with Pastor Sharon Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Sandy Cemetery. Cathy's family has suggested memorial donations to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23453, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Cathy was born on August 25, 1944, in Terry, Montana, to George. and Vietta Ardis (Ewing) Carter. She was raised in Terry, attending schools there. In 1963, Cathy married Robert E. Lee, and they had two children. They later divorced, and in 1977, Cathy married Lewis Dielman in Havre. The couple lived on the farm outside of Box Elder for a time before moving into Box Elder, where they remained until her death. Cathy was a wonderful wife, caring for her husband and home while he farmed and worked at the Box Elder bus garage. She often acted as a second chaperone on school bus trips. Cathy also kept busy acting as the secretary/treasurer for the Hi-Line Antique Auto Club, as the call lady for the Big Sky Auto Club, and as a dispatcher for the Box Elder Volunteer Fire Department.

She enjoyed crafting, going places in antique cars, and meeting people. Cathy was a woman who just really enjoyed life.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia "Ginny" Lee-MacDonald; her parents, George and Vietta Carter; her brothers, George, Timothy, and Willard Carter; her sister Mary Carter; six aunts; and five uncles.

Cathy is survived by her husband Lewis Dielman of Box Elder; her son Leroy Lee (Alverta "Alvie" Dielman) of Statesville, NC; her stepsons, L. Linn Dielman, Jr., of Columbia Falls, and Mark Dielman of Box Elder; her stepdaughter Alverta "Alvie" Dielman (Leroy Lee) of Statesville, NC; her granddaughter Amanda; her niece Heather Carter of Terry; her nephew Todd (Jessie) Carter of Mesa, AZ; her sister-in-law Deb Carter of Columbus; her aunt Ruby Ewing of NE; and several cousins.
