Catherine Emelia Otto Chamberlain, 71, died at home surrounded by family after battling cancer for over 30 years. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre MT. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at the Big Sandy Cemetery with Rev. Natalie Chamberlain officiating. A fellowship luncheon to follow at Saint Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Big Sandy. Memorial contributions in Catherine's honor may be made to Stanley Chamberlain III Medical Benefit at Big Sky Western Bank account #6106 0000 2026, routing #092 901 654. Stanley suffers from Epilepsy and is scheduled for extended treatment in Salt Lake City this October. Contributions can also be made to the Bear Paw Hospice 30 West 13th Street Havre, Montana 59501. Service arrangements have been entrusted to Holland Bonine Funeral Home of Havre. Catherine was born on April 11, 1940 in Warroad Minnesota to Natalia and Steve Otto. She married Stanley Chamberlain on May 10, 1958. They moved to Montana in 1963, lived in Rudyard and Big Sandy before moving to Loma in 1967 where she raised her six children. Catherine worked for Chouteau County mowing roads and following the snow plow, volunteered on the Loma Fire Department and the Loma Community Hall, was the president of the school PTA, and served as an election official. She was known for her fresh baked bread and cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and decorating cakes. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Catherine is survived by her children, Natalie Chamberlain of Fresno, California; Elaine Chamberlain of Niceville, Florida; Annette Chamberlain of Great Falls, Montana; Catherine Chamberlain of Nome, Alaska; Stanley Chamberlain of Belgrade, Montana; and Amy Woronik of Lohman, Montana; four brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
