Obituary

Carol Ivy Meyers, "Daylight Coming On", 64, passed away due to natural causes at her Havre residence on Saturday, April 25, 2026.  Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, and will continue until her funeral service which will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Kelly Eagleman officiating.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Carol was born on December 26, 1961, in Fort Belknap to John Gilbert and Nancy (Knife) Meyers.  She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there.  After high school, Carol attended the Southwest Indian Polytech Institute, where she received her certificate in culinary arts.  For the rest of her life, she worked as a chef, wildlands firefighter and camp crew, and as a traveling personal care assistant, a job in which she excelled.

Carol was a kind, loving woman who was a caregiver at heart.  She enjoyed making regalia for her daughter, Falcon. Her kitchen was the warmest room in her home, and everyone was drawn there because she was always cooking, especially Bannock.  Carol was a true caffeine addict who adored her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant son; parents, John Gilbert and Nancy Meyers; siblings, John Edwin Meyers, Karen Jo Knife, Diana Kaye Upchurch, Bonnie Jean Meyers, and Duane Merle Meyers.

Carol is survived by her children, Nathan (Leslie Stump) Meyers of Box Elder and Falcon Meyers of Havre; four grandchildren, Silas Gage Meyers, and Rory Axton, Raina Rose, and Marckell Luka Young; siblings, Donald Dale Meyers of Box Elder, Maria Sponsler of Havre, Edna Ann Meyers of Box Elder, Betty Sue (Mark) Collins of Rocky Boy, and Nancy Marie Barchus of Havre; former son-in-law, Lance Jay Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
