Carl Lee Stanley, 61, passed away at Rocky Boy.  Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 23, 2026.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Carl was born on April 2, 1965, in Havre, to Charles Gopher and Theresa Stanley.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there.  In 1984, Carl graduated from Rocky Boy High School, and he attended Stone Child College for a short time.  While in Rocky Boy, he worked as a wildlands firefighter.  In the mid-90s, he moved to Great Falls and there he worked for Montana Pasta.  He returned to Rocky Boy in 2005, and there he worked as a ranch hand.

Carl was a very social man, who loved taking his daily walks to chat with community members.  He enjoyed basketball, socializing at the casino, listening to 70s and 80s rock, and attending sweats.  Carl loved to joke and tease, and he was very close to his sister's grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Gopher and Theresa Stanley; and siblings, Roberta, Clinton, and John Bacon.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Shayla Stanley of Great Falls; siblings, Colleen Bacon of Great Falls, Rachel Bacon of Rocky Boy, and Gordon Bacon of Box Elder; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
