Obituary

Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Bonnie E. (Hill) Hansen, 71, passed away at NMH on Friday, October 9, 2020, from a short, fierce battle with COVID-19.

Bonnie was born on April 11, 1949 to James "Marc" & Eleanora Hill in Glasgow, MT. She grew up on the family farm in Glentana, MT.  She attended grade school at St. Raphael's Catholic School and graduated from Glasgow High School. She attended Carroll College working on a degree in Psychology. Feeling the need to return home, she moved back to Glasgow and worked at KLTZ/KLAN until she was hired on at TCI Cablevision. In 1974 she met Michael L. Hansen. They courted for several years before getting married on January 1, 1981. They have two children, Angela Marie and Christopher Michael.  Bonnie's career moved her and Mike from Glasgow to Havre and finally to Great Falls, MT. After retirement, they wanted to be closer to their kids and grandkids so they moved back to Havre in 2006 and have lived in Havre since then. During her retirement she still needed something to do with her time so she chose to get her real estate license and helped many locals buy and sell homes in the Havre area. She attended as many of her grandkids events that she could squeeze in from dance recitals to football games, and even swimming lessons. Bonnie was a devote Catholic and very involved in her church, both in Glasgow and in Havre, volunteering whenever she could. She loved her yard and flowers and spent many hours tending to her roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Donna Smith and Carol Hill.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Mike, her son Chris (Shannon) Hansen, her daughter Angela Hansen-Allestad; her grandkids Caleb, Patience, Olivia, Alyson and Aiden; her sister Darlene Riggin-Stratton, her brothers James (Lana) Hill and Robert (Jaque) Hill and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Bonnie will be held at a later date when it is safe for friends and family to gather.
