Beverly June Faber

Beverly June Faber passed away August 7, 2026. She was born January 1, 1932, in Great Falls, Montana, the first baby of the year. Her parents were Albert and Anna (Nicholson) Bull.

Times were not easy during those Depression years. Her father did carpentry and ranch work. In 1941 they moved to their farm near Fairfield. Beverly has said many times she felt privileged to have lived in a simpler time period with no electricity, telephone, or indoor plumbing. She and sister Joyce walked the countryside looking for wildflowers, meadowlark nests, and swimming in the creek. During winters there was sledding, cribbage, and games–Happy Times!

The family moved near Big Sandy in 1947. Beverly graduated from high school there in 1950. Several summers she worked for Lillian and John Phalen, who became lifelong friends.

Beverly met Leo Faber at a country dance. They wed September 9, 1950. In 1966 they purchased the ranch in the Bear Paw Mountains from Faber Cattle Company where Leo was raised. They spent many years running cattle, calving, haying, and fencing. Beverly helped with many of the ranch duties. She cooked for the ranch help, a large family, company, or whoever stopped by.

Beverly loved gardening, planting many trees, shrubs, flowers, and vegetables. She could identify most wildflowers, flora, birds, and trees in the Bear Paws. For fifty years she worked on centuries worth of family history and genealogy. She was an avid collector and refinisher of antiques. Beverly modestly kept quiet about her skills as an artist and poet. She and Leo traveled abroad and throughout the United States. In 1988 they began an outfitting business where they had a large number of repeat clients from all over the Country. Many of them became fast friends.

Beverly is survived by her brother, Frank (Jo) Bull; daughter, Mary (Bryan) Anderson; sons, Christopher (Janna), Michael (Lisa), Stephen (Tracy), Gerald, Dana, Patrick (Lana), and Timothy; daughter, Ann; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Leo, her son Eugene, her parents Anna and Albert, her brother Albert, her sisters Dorothea and Joyce, and her granddaughter Ryann.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Big Sandy Cemetery. Beverly’s family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church, the Big Sandy Library, or the charity of the donor’s choice. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
