Obituary

Betty Jean Green, 91, passed away due to natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center on Thursday, July 14, 2022.  Cremation has taken place, and private family graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery at a later date.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Betty was born on July 25, 1930, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Roy and Martha (Gunderson) Grow.  She was raised in Utah and Idaho, graduating from High School in Salt Lake City.  She married Glenden Green in 1948, and the couple had three daughters.  They moved to Havre in 1958, and remained there for 10 years, moving to Great Falls in 1968, and later back to Salt Lake City.  The couple retired in 1999 and returned to Havre.  Betty was a homemaker, caring for her husband and family, and also worked outside the home to keep busy after the children were on their own.

Betty enjoyed golfing and gardening.  She was a talented seamstress, sewing her daughters' clothing as they grew up.  She also loved her grandchildren dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenden Green; parents, Roy and Martha Grow; and sisters, Shirley Balis and Dahrl Blake.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Becky (Doug) Ross of Havre, Christine (Art) Wilkesen of Utah, and Susan (Robert) Bingham of Arizona; several grandchildren; siblings, Joann Torfin, Berniece Strogh, and Derald (Betty) Grow, all of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
