Bernard F. Witschen, 94, passed away due to natural causes at his residence on Thursday, May 8, 2025.  Cremation has taken place.  Vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, all at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the Big Sandy Cemetery.  Bernard's family has suggested memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, the Big Sandy Medical Center, or the Big Sandy Senior Center.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Bernard was born in Clear Lake, MN in 1931. In 1954, he married the love of his life, Rose Mary Friedenbach.

Bernard was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary and two of his sons, Bernard Jr. and Kenneth.

He is survived by five children, Michael Witschen, Rosella Lienhart, Charles (Teresa) Witschen, Steven (Yong Suk) Witschen and Veronica (Dave) McElroy. He is also survived by several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
