Arthur K. Windy Boy, 63, passed away at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls due to natural causes on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  Wake services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow in the Windy Boy Family Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit Arthur's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.hollandbonine.com .

Arthur was born on January 20, 1958, in Fort Belknap to Sam and Lucille (Little Sun) Windy Boy.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school in Box Elder.  Following his high school years, Arthur joined the Rocky Boy police force, and worked for many years as a police officer and then as the chief of police there.  He moved on to the courts, working as a tribal court associate judge and then as a chief judge.  On August 2, 1987, he married Delphine Longneck, and the couple had 18 children.  They later divorced.

Arthur was a loving man who enjoyed hunting, getting wood, peyote meetings, sweats, sun dances, pow wows, and the mountains.  He adored his family, and reveled in joking around with them.

He was preceded in death by his son, Phoenix Windy Boy; parents, Sam and Lucille Windy Boy; and siblings, Louise Stump, Kevin Windy Boy, and Ivan "Chester" Windy Boy.

Arthur is survived by his children, Arthur "Ryan" Windy Boy, Bonnie (Keenan Gopher) Windy Boy, Jordan Windy Boy, Robin (Austin Whitford) Windy Boy, Kimberly (Nathan Gopher) Windy Boy, Aaron Windy Boy, Michael Ahenakew, Ozzie (Courtney Weaving) Windy Boy, Justin Ahenakew, Emma Windy Boy, Kelly Windy Boy, Veronica (Tyler Gopher) Windy Boy, Emmett (Shelby Small) Windy Boy, Shaindiin Windy Boy, Lauren (Randall Whitford) Windy Boy, Teri (Maurice Stewart) Windy Boy, Stephanie Windy Boy, Richard Windy Boy, Yolanda (Kale Garfield) Small, and Brendan Small, all of Rocky Boy; numerous grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Sam "Vernon" Windy Boy, Mary (Kenny) Lafromboise, Wendy (Dominic) Bradley, Elaine (Fredrick) Coffee, and William "Paul" Cummins; former wife, Delphine Windy Boy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and many, many friends.
