Obituary

Arlene L. Huntsinger, 72, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital on Monday, April 7, 2025.  Cremation has taken place, and graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, with a luncheon to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy.

Arlene was born October 18, 1952, in Fort Belknap, Montana, to James and Cecelia (St. Marks) Wells.  In 1978, she married Howard Huntsinger, and the couple had two children.  Their daughter, Justina, was born in 1972, and their son, Kenneth, was born in 1976.

Arlene was a woman who loved her family and cherished those around here.  For her family, she was a beacon of care, love, and warmth.  Even when her family had losses, she would press on and stay strong for those who remained.  Arlene was a cherished sister, a loving wife, and selfless mother.  She was an auntie who loved her nieces and nephews.

Arlene worked in the field of education as a teacher's aide and nurtured all the children that she encountered.  She had a hand-on approach and worked individually with students who struggled with learning to ensure they pursued their goals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; children, Justina and Kenneth; parents, James and Cecelia; sister, Gloria Henry; and brothers, Peter and Gary Wells.

Arlene is survived by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Christopher) Huntsinger and Christopher Caywood; sisters, Evelyn Wells of Rocky Boy, and Theresa Wells and Phyllis Rock, both of Great Falls; brother, Gerald (Amanda) Wells of Great Falls; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
