Anthony Paul Kaluza, 80, of Havre, MT, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Billings, MT. His rosary will be Friday January 4, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church. His funeral mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday January 5th, at St. Jude Catholic Church with his burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the graveside service. Memorials in Tony's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice Tony was born to Jacob Peter and Gianna Rose (Peressini) Kaluza in Havre on January 25th, 1932. Tony attended St. Jude Elementary School and graduated from Havre High School in 1950. He then attended Northern Montana College. He worked as a brakeman and conductor for more than forty years for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern railroads. Tony was an active member of the Montana National Guard for 13 years, a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, and active in the American Legion. He was an enthusiast of the Northern Lights men & women teams. He is survived by his four children, Marti Christie of Billings, Montana; Laurie Bills of Ferndale, WA; Vince Kaluza, of Havre, and Steve Kaluza of Colstrip,Mt. Also left to mourn his passing are brothers Archie (Kathleen) and Phil Kaluza as well as sisters Mary Jane (Chuck) Funk and Eleanor (Ron) Swenson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He had many nephews & nieces whom he treasured. He was the person in our family that we could always count on. We will miss him very much for his advice, caring & humor. .
