Annabelle Lodge Thomas, 88; niih-inaat-ithaa (Windy Woman) of Hays died at the Northern Montana Care Center on August 4 ^th , 2017 In Havre.   She was born April 5 ^th , 1929 at the Fort Belknap Agency born to Fredrick V. & Lillian (Arms) Lodge.
Annabelle was a proud full-blooded member of the Aaniiih Tribe.  She loved her culture and worked hard to support her family after her husband Albert died in 1986.  She was a devoted to her Catholic faith and prayed the rosary every night before bed.  She loved camping, cooking at family gatherings, visiting family & friends, and she dearly loved her home. She was preceded in death by grandfather Charlie Arms; her husband Albert K. Thomas; her   son Albert C. Thomas; her sisters Birdie Mae Shortman; Lillian Lodge; and Marie Bear; Joann Favel; Olive Schmockel; her brothers Buster & Bennie Lodge; and by 4 grandchildren: Ranae, Leandra, Jamie & Joyce.

Annabelle is survived by her daughters Judy Thomas; Myrtle &Doris Thomas; Sons:  Louis, Frank, Howard, and Eric Thomas.  21 Grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
A wake will begin at the St. Paul's Rec Center at 5p.m. and the Rosary to begin at 7PM  Monday, August 7 ^th , 2017.  A funeral Mass will be 11AM Tuesday, August 8 ^th , 2017 at the St. Paul's Mission Church in Hays, Montana.  Burial will follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery.
