Anna D. Kleinsasser, 83, passed away due to complications from a stroke on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre.  Her wake will begin on Thursday, June 2, 2022, and will continue until her funeral service, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, all at the Hidden Valley Colony Church.  Burial will follow in the Hidden Valley Colony Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Anna was born on December 30, 1938, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, to David J. and Susana (Kleinsasser) Wurtz.  Her family moved Miller Colony in Choteau when she was young, and they lived there for many years.  She married Samuel Kleinsasser in 1959, and the couple had two children before moving to Sage Creek Colony north of Chester.  There they had five children, and Anna cared for the young children, working as a kindergarten teacher for the Colony.  In 2018, Anna and Samuel moved to Hidden Valley Colony south of Gilford when it was created.

Anna was a loving woman, who enjoyed knitting and caring for her flowers.  Her home was always clean and tidy, and she took pride in raising her daughters to be the same.  She loved to sing, read the Bible, and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by three children, Jerry, Joseph, and Dorothy Kleinsasser; parents, David and Susana Wurtz; parents-in-law, John and Katrina Kleinsasser; siblings, David Wurtz and Susana Waldner.

Anna is survived by her husband, Samuel Kleinsasser of Hidden Valley; daughters, Barbara (Ben) Hofer and Annie Kleinsasser, both of Hidden Valley, and Dorothy (Will) Kleinsasser of Birch Creek; sons, Will (Barbara) Kleinsasser of Hidden Valley, Joel (Mary) and Dave (Esther) Kleinsasser of Sage Creek, and Jerry (Julia) Kleinsasser of Hidden Valley; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Chris) Kleinsasser of Harlowton and Katie (David) Waldner of Sunnybrook; brothers, John (Justina) Wurtz of Sage Creek, Joe (Lydia) Wurtz of Sunnybrook, and Jake (Rebecca) Wurtz of Riverview; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anna's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the doctors and nurses at Northern Montana Hospital and the Northern Montana Care Center who cared for her.

Rest in peace, dear Mom.  We will all miss you.  Fly with the angels.
