Following his school years, he began a lifetime of hard work, which culminated in Alvin holding a security position at the Chippewa Cree Construction Company. He enjoyed socializing and spending time with his family and friends, caring for his house and yard, fishing, cutting logs, spending time in the mountains, rodeoing with his best friend Billy LaMere, and helping to raise his family and friends' children. Alvin was always willing to lend a helping hand, and his hard work in building St. Mary's Catholic Church has been much appreciated by many, many people. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Caplette; his special friend Arleata "Dixie" St. Marks; his sister Nancy Esparza; his brother Lawrence Caplette; and numerous extended family members. He is survived by his son Peter "Justin" St. Marks of Rocky Boy; his sisters Carol Jean Gutierrez of Havre, and Maxine Paduana of Pittsburgh, PA; his brothers Billy LaMere and Ervin Watson, both of Rocky Boy; the children he raised as his own, Jennifer St. Marks of Minneapolis, MN, and Alicia St. Marks and Robert LaRocque, both of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
