Alretha "Ann" Chandler, 47, passed away due to natural causes on February 27, 2023, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls.  Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Ann was born on May 29, 1975, in Havre to Alfred and Retha Mae (Morsette) Chandler, Sr.  She was raised in Rocky Boy during her early years, and moved to Malta for her school years.  Ann graduated from Malta High School in 1993, and soon after attended job corps in Anaconda, where she received training in carpentry and painting.  After her graduation from job corps, Ann went on to attend Aaniiih Nakoda College, where she received dual associates degrees in criminal justice and human services.  Over the years, Ann worked as a CNA in Malta and Big Sandy, as a detention officer at the Rocky Boy Police Department, and as a housekeeper at the Rocky Boy Health Center.

Ann enjoyed word search puzzles, playing Bingo and cards with her friends at the Eagle's Manor, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, and her dear friends Louise and Maggie.  Her fur babies were her life, and she absolutely adored and spoiled them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Retha Chandler, Sr.; siblings, Floyd Hopkins, Jr., and Randy Chandler, Sr.; nephew, Gabriel Brown; and grandparents, William and Josephine (Gladeau) Morsette, James Chandler, and Mary (Skinner) Denny.

Ann is survived by her beloved fur babies, Shiloh, Chole, Hunter, and Brogan Lee; siblings, Alfred Chandler, Jr. of Havre, Tina Small, Kitty Hopkins, Corey Chandler, and Ron (Crystal) Chandler, all of Rocky Boy, Phillip (Nicole) Chandler of Shelley, ID, Taylor (Jessica) Small of Havre, and Nikita Denny of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
