She was born October 15, 1923 in Landusky, MT to Peter and Lydia (Lavenger) Doney, the second of nine children. Alice attended school in Zortman MT. Growing up in the 1930's like everyone else of that generation, at a young age Alice learned everyone had to work. Then for a combination of twenty years she worked for the 6th Avenue Nursing Home and the Lutheran Home for the Good Shepherd in Havre. She was recognized many times for her service to others and work ethic over those years. Alice will most certainly be remembered for her creative talents, crocheting, knitting and numerous other crafts, her hands were never idle long. She always had a project going for someone. Most of what she made she gave away to family, friends, community members or donated to some worthy cause.
