Alex Edward Denny, 80, of Box Elder died suddenly at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls on May 2, 2020. A wake will be held on May 3, 2020 starting at 5:00p.m. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 4, 2020, and burial will follow at Rocky Boy Veteran Cemetery with military honors.

Alex was born to Walter and Nellie Denny on January 23, 1940 in Box Elder. He graduated high school from Rocky Boy and enlisted in the Army. He spent nearly 21 years of service in the military for our country. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic or meritorious service during the Vietnam conflict.

Alex married Deanna Standing Rock and the couple had seven children.

After Alex retired he enjoyed spending his leisure time at the casinos in and around Box Elder.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna Standing Rock Denny; daughters, Shannon Denny and Aldean Denny; sons, Alex Glenn Denny, Shawn Standing Rock, Joseph Denny, and Norman Denny; sister, Harriet Standing Rock; brothers, Douglas Russell Standing Rock; and many grandchildren.

Alex is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Nellie Denny; and son, Seneca Standing Rock.
