Wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Hondro was born on February 28, 1975, in Spokane, WA, to Salvador Plascencia and Norma LaMere. He was raised in Spokane and Kellog, ID, and then Great Falls, attending school along the way. He moved to Rocky Boy to live with his maternal grandparents, Indio and Eunice (LaMere) Sanchez, and soon left for Kicking Horse Job Corp, where he obtained his Associate Degree in culinary arts. Hondro then returned home, where he put his newly learned skills to use, cooking a few different places before opening Norma's Café at Stone Child College, which he operated for a few years. In 1993, he married Clarissa Eagleman, and together they had three children before divorcing a few years later.
Hondro was a social, upbeat man who enjoyed cooking, boxing, hunting, fishing, and gaming. He had quite the sense of humor, and loved to joke with his family. As a father, he was firm, but loving, and he reveled in being a grandpa. He also enjoyed attending the Rocky Boy Pow Wow to watch the dancers, listen to the music, and eat all the delicious food.
He was preceded in death by his grandson First Son Star and his mother Norma LaMere Plascencia.
Hondro is survived by his children, Alejandro (Jamekka Beaumont) Plascencia, Jr. of Billings, Ayanna (Tyler Messerly) Plascencia of Harlem, and Anthony (Tylyn Messerly) Plascencia of Hays; five grandchildren, Ky'zarie Plascencia, Azaleija Plascencia, Tyler Messerly, Jr., Forever LaMere, and Adai Hernandez; father Salvador Plascencia of Boulder, CO; siblings, Sharon Crowshoe of Spokane, WA, Candido "Candy Man" Plascencia of Missoula, and Tashina (Manuel Hernandez) LaMere of Spokane; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
