Aldin J. Stanley, Native American Name Nah-nah-te-w Pi-ye-siw Ah-wah-sis (Heatwave Thunderbird Child) 75 of GT. Falls died at Benefis Hospital on November 11 th , 2016. He was born February 24, 1941 in GT. Falls to Henry Mosney & Josephine Swan, but he was raised by Joseph Stanley as his birth father was in the military serving his country. "Al" was raised in GT. Falls where he attended school. He later went into home and general construction. He was a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy. Al met and later married Vickie Bronson in GT. Falls on October 12, 1969. They made their home in GT. Falls where they celebrated over 47 years of marriage. He will be remembered as a great hunter, supplying many with his bounty. He enjoyed working with ceramic making beautiful works of art. He will be remembered by his grandchildren& great grandchildren as "The Candy Man" as he enjoyed treating them with gummie bears.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Linda Mae; his infant daughter Michelle Marie.
He is survived by his loving wife Vickie Stanley of GT. Falls; his son's Aldin J. Stanley Jr. of Box Elder; Leonard James Stanley of GT. Falls; Curtis Wayne Stanley of Havre; Loretta Fay Racine of Nebraska; Michael Bryain Stanley of GT. Falls; Arron Lee Stanley of GT. Falls; & Curtis Wayne Stanley Jr. Along with many grand children and great grandchildren.
Traditional Native American wake and funeral services will be conducted beginning Noon on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Funeral Services will be 10AM Monday, November 14 at the church. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
