It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Aaron Ross Yellowtail (Cappo) Standing Elk He Who Stands Along – Omaskoz nipawi. A father, brother, uncle, grandpa, cousin and friend. Ross passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. Ross was 56 years old. He was born September 15, 1965, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Frank and Florence (Cappo) Yellowtail.  He was born in Canada and raised in Rocky Boy from 6 years old until he was 15. He then moved back to Canada.  He worked on repairing vehicles and was a trade mechanic. He returned to Rocky Boy, Montana to live with his sister Elizabeth in November of 2019. He enjoyed socializing, taking care of Emrie Ann, they were best buddies. He enjoyed gambling, fishing, Barbequing, and staying at home. He loved his family and was proud to be called Grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents: Yellowtail (Elizabeth); Maternal Grandparents: Joseph Cappo and Philomene (nee Wolfe). Three sisters: Sharon, Anita and Beatrice. Uncles: George, Edward, Earl, Robert, Sam, Steven, and Delbert. Aunts: Adeline, and Violet. Nephew Johnathan Johnson.

Aaron is survived by his son Tyler Yellowtail of Fort Qu'' Appelle, Saskatchewan his three daughters: Asia Yellowtail, Arin Yellowtail, Arielle Yellowtail, all of Saskatchewan, Canada. Brothers: Claude (Beatrice), Eugene (Sydney) and sister Elizabeth Yellowtail of Box Elder, Montana, and aunt Janice Morin. Five Grandchildren: Nadia, Cordell, Deshawn, Zane and Emrie Ann.
