Aaron D. Alexander, "Spirit", 62, passed away due to natural causes at Peace Hospice in Great Falls on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Alvin Windy Boy officiating. Burial will follow in the Denny Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Aaron was born on March 28, 1961, in Havre to John Denny and Mary Rose Alexander. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. After his high school years, Aaron began his many years of wildland firefighting, along with various other jobs over the years. In the mid-90's, he married Cheyenne St. Pierre in Billings, and she passed away a few years later. In 2006, Aaron moved to Great Falls, and in 2008, he entered assisted living due to his physical limitations.
Aaron enjoyed playing the machines and visiting. When he was younger, he was a team roper and helped his uncle, Enos Johnson, with his cows.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheyenne St. Pierre; son, Henry Curtis; parents, John Denny and Mary Rose Alexander; sisters, Wyoma and Coretta Denny; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aaron is survived by his children, Cory Clubfoot of Lame Deer, Emma Eagleman of El Reno, OK, Aaron Alexander, Jr. of Great Falls, and Autumn Alexander of Missoula; eleven grandchildren; brother, Deland (Robin) Denny of Rocky Boy; sisters, Candace (Tim) Little Voice of Rocky Boy and Georgina Denny of Fort Hall, ID; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends including the Johnson, Daychild, and Small families
